Fountain Square gearing up for busy Summer months

Fountain Square has experienced record crowds over the winter for its popular ice skating rink, and is coming off of a summer 2009 season that broke all kinds of crowd records including concert series and movie night attendance. Cincinnati's primary public gathering space has help lead the transformation of the city's urban core since it was renovated in 2005. With warmer temperatures and nice weather upon us, it is time to once again get ready for another Summer on the Square.

Sometimes I wish for the Cincinnati I had when I moved here and downtown was my oyster.
But I can't be greedy and its been impressive witnessing the crowds that flocked to the Square all winter. I don't expect this summer to be any different. Get to the Saturday movie early.
You've been warned.

Remember when there were people out there saying the renovation of Fountain Square in 2005 was a dumb idea and even going as far to call it a boondoggle? I do, and it brings a smile to my face each time I can show those people just how wrong they were. I have a feeling Fountain Square is going to break its own attendance records this year.
