15 days ago I threw down a modest challenge for Cincinnati bloggers - install the Share This feature onto your site and support a locally grown and operated business. Of the Cincinnati area blogs featured on UrbanCincy's blogroll, only 5 out of 19 have taken up the challenge. Some of the 5 with Share This had it already, while others installed it after the throw down.
Cincy Blogs using Share This:
- Cincinnati Blog
- designcincinnati
- Each Note Secure
- Hoperatives
- The Cincinnati Man
- wine me, dine me in Cincinnati
But what is the excuse for the other 14 out there that have yet to partake in the Share This Cincy Blogger Challenge? If you need hlep with coding shoot me an email or leave a comment in the comment section for this post. Lets make it happen. Not on the UrbanCincy blogroll and want your blog included in the challenge shoot me an email or leave a comment about your site's use of Share This.

you say "onto your site and support a locally grown and operated business." but are you talking about Sharethis?? Looks like they are in Mountain View, CA?
They're located at 455 Delta Avenue
Suite 200, Cincinnati, OH 45226. That's in Mt. Lookout.
Randy, I'll look into it later today.
I'm technologically disadvantaged. I don't even track people to my site much less and kind of share stuff. I can look in to it I guess.
I missed your challenge, what value will share this add to my blog?
How does it share?
I'll look into it.
Umm, okay.
I missed your challenge the first time around, but a list of offenders? Is this a joke? Calling out some of the coolest local blogs that do so much [in their own words and, I'm pretty sure, without any arm-twisting] to support locally-owned businesses? Srsly? Are you being paid to do this? If not, why are you being so ungracious toward your fellow bloggers?
Honestly, this little widget may be the best thing since sliced bread, but I'm less likely to look into it now.
'The Offenders' was meant to be playful, just as 'The Cool Kids' label was used. No pay at all, just trying to promote the local company. Didn't think that the playful titles would upset anybody.
I've made some edits to the post to hopefully clear things up a bit. Once again, the last thing I would ever want to do is put down other Cincinnati blogs that are so obviously terrific and offer wonderful insights to various topics.
Sadly, Stacked's free WordPress blog doesn't support plugins.
It's easy to put into Blogger but they seem to have a bug in their site validation thing. If you come up unvalidated you need to send support an email.
It's kinda funky about what it sends, too.
I'm interested in using it on SOTR, but I just haven't had the oppurtunity to look into it yet. I'll give it a shot some time this week and if I can't figure it out I'll get you to help me:)
Thanks!
I had it on my site several months ago, but it quit working for some reason.
And Randy, I'm not seeing it on your site. Did it quit working for you as well?
It's at the bottom of each one of my posts next to the email icon, and on the same line as who the article was posted by.
Hmm...I'm not seeing it.
